This polished Polyhedroid Agate specimen pair shows black and muted yellow agate, with both halves revealing large open vugs. Faintly UV reactive.

6cm x 2.3cm (2.6cm deep)
6.1cm x 2.4cm (1.9cm deep)
Total weight: 1.9oz
Polyhedroid Agates were found in Paraiba, Brazil, but are now unavailable. They are a unique formation of agate, featuring naturally flat surfaces at a variety of different angles. They are believed to have formed in the negative spaces between large crystal blades of calcite or aragonite, and can occasionally feature multiple "chambers" where those blades eroded and adjacent agates fused together.
